HELP FOR THREE YEAR OLD DOROTEA AND HER FAMILY MITIC IN MRAMOR VILLAGE

Marko Mitic is a single parent of two minor children three year old Dorotea and Veljko, ten months. Neither he nor his brothers work anywhere. If it was not for social security, little Dorotea would not be in position to be treated of serious heart problems that she has from her birth. She has the first surgery on heart when she was only 17 days, second two years ago. For the end of March catheterisation was appointed which is actually the preparation for the third surgery. Neighbors of these people addressed and appealed for help to people from Palilula Municipality and found understanding.

President of the Municipality, on this occasion, promised the help not only considering the expenses with surgery. These situations are priorities to us - to help people. I already offered help in the name of Municipality to try to make somehow easier life as much as we could. Slideland is only ten meters from this house which is additional danger. Even no need to speak of the basic life conditions and this house should be renovated. We will give our best and I am appealing to people of good will that, if they are in the possibility, show humanity and be included in this action, said Boban Dzunic.

Marko Mitic, single parent of these two little children, says that is now easier since some of the rights on social help are being realized. But before, it was just not that simple. From the start every examination in Belgrade I had to finance, considering travel. I drove her by our car. Now it is little different, social services started to engage, explains Mitic his position.

Catheterisation was appointed for March 26. After that Dorotea will have to have one more heart surgery and after that, this family will have, we hope, better life.
